Three Generations of Trusted Service
The Maguire family’s legacy in plumbing began in the early 1900s when Michael J. Maguire emigrated from Ireland to the Newton/Waltham area. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War I, he returned to the plumbing trade and, around 1922, founded Michael J. Maguire Plumbing and Heating. With a small team of three, he focused on residential plumbing and steam heating services.
Michael’s dedication to the trade inspired his three sons—William, Robert, and Michael—to become master plumbers. His son Robert expanded the business into commercial service and construction, officially incorporating it as Maguire Company, Inc in 1969.
Continuing the family tradition, Robert’s son Dennis V. Maguire also became a master plumber and now leads the company into its third generation. Today, Maguire Company remains a proud, family-owned business offering a full range of plumbing, heating, and mechanical contracting services to residential, commercial, and institutional clients.
